This book is SO GOOD!!
Knowing our purpose is so important!
Thank you Rachel!
And thanks for excellent study guide. Was great to use for discussion of the book at our women’s book study at church.
This book is the story of how God makes a king. Well presented and easy to read, and it taught me fascinating things that I did not know before. I'm in awe of what Alfred accomplished for the kingdom of the Anglo-Saxons, which resulted in England, which resulted (in large measure) in the Western world.
This was a very enjoyable read, and I'm thankful to have read it.
I bought this book for my son. I listened to the audiobook and knew my son would enjoy, in fact unbeknownst to me it was already on his books list. A must read!
This Psalter and Hymnal is amazing. I love how it has all the psalms as well as the other categories of hymns. I sometimes feel as though I could conquer all the world and the great powers of hell when singing some of the psalms and battle hymns, and I feel as though I have reached greater depths of adoration and faith.
First time reading Rigney's work and wasn"t disappointed.
From the introduction, Joe Rigney calls out the issue of day: lack of responsible, Godly leaders. But he doesn't just give you the problem but also the answer. Apply the Gospel of Jesus to ALL of life. Be prepared for trouble & rejoice harder than God's enemies. Solid, practical steps to get your feet under you and start moving forward.
Written in Wilson's direct, humorous and pastoral manner. He lays a pretty straightforward case for what drives much of antisemitism. Challenges alot of dispensationalist assumptions. Picked up the book and was not disappointed. Especially in climate of 2024.
As a father of three boys, it's rare to find a book that has them asking for the next chapter. They're hooked. Memorable characters, thrilling and dramatic scenes. Definitely a worthwhile read.
It wasn't quite what I was expecting. However, I have enjoyed it immensely and look forward to reading it alongside Morning and Evening by Spurgeon. I want to have communion with my fellow Christians after every read.
After looking over these products my kiddos were begging to start them-4 months early 😂 We are excited to try something new and challenging. The curriculum looks engaging and simple.
I have really enjoyed the Math Mammoth books. They are short and comprehensive lessons without too much repetition. The tests are quick and straightforward!
I’m looking forward to using this in the fall. The book seems like a simple and streamlined way to approach spelling for my kiddos!
I love the simplicity and thoroughness of the lesson plans. They are easy to alter if needed or to work ahead when possible.
I love the reading guides! They have been quick ways to assess my kiddos understanding of the books. The comprehension sheet also makes adding/changing books easy.
Although we won’t use this curriculum until Fall- after using the Biology 1 this year and seeing the items included in Chemistry 1, I’m very impressed and excited to use this material!
The readers seem very useful as my kids enjoy them and it is helping me emphasize certain sounds and words in a repetitive manner that isn’t boring. I think the missing component is a few videos that show how the authors would use them with a non-reader. While I’m following another reading approach, I am very curious how the authors would anticipate someone using them to teach reading. Any tips/tricks/suggestions in the process are appreciated =)
Joe did a great job with this book and the video series that went with it. A must read!
Powerful presentation. Wilson makes the case for the federal office of husband, a crucial understanding for reformation.
